PROXY BID RULES - TEXAS
The Silent Auction will take place October 30, 2011, with lots closing during the day.

You need NOT be present to win, however, your bid must be on the bid sheet either through Proxy Bidding as follows, or through an agent on-site:

Proxy Bids will be accepted ONLINE
from 8pm (CST) Saturday Oct. 22nd
to midnight (CST) on Saturday October 29th.

*NO* further Proxy Bids will be allowed on Sunday, October 30th.

*NO* Proxy Bids will be taken by phone (unless prior arrangements are made with charities for items over $1000). Do NOT call the store to bid.

*The ONLY exception to phone bids will be anyone bidding over $1000 for an item. You may make arrangements (prior to Sunday the 30th) for an on-site phone Proxy Bidder but must be available by phone when the items close.

When an item closes, the highest amount bid for an item (assuming it meets minimum bid) by either a person/agent on-site or through Proxy Bid will be considered the winner.
Although we have no legally-binding bidding clause, remember that this is a CHARITY event, so stiffing your bid will bring nothing but bad karma!

SUBMITTING BIDS - TEXAS
To submit a Proxy Bid, follow these steps to the letter:

#1 - Emails must have a subject line of "WOWD TX Proxy Bid - Contributor Name"
[example: WOWD TX Proxy Bid - Adam Hughes"]
If you are bidding on more than one item, put "WOWD TX Proxy Bid - Multiple Items"

#2 - Emails must include within them the Contributor Name. Please specify which piece in the case of Contributors who provided more than one piece.
If the piece is from OREGON, please go to OREGON page and follow OREGON rules!
If the piece is from NEW JERSEY, please go to NEW JERSEY page and follow NEW JERSEY rules!

#3 - Emails must include Full Name and working Phone Number of Bidder. All bidders must be over the age of 18 years of age.

#4 - Emails must include the Bid price offered. Unless you submit a further bid, this will be considered the final bid price offered. These will NOT be "incremental" bids. If you offer $200, that is your bid.

#5 - All up-bids MUST be in at least $5 increments.

#6 - If you are bidding on more than one item, put your bid with each contributor name
and separate the items with a dashed line,
i.e. "-------------------------"

#7 - IMPORTANT - All items which need to be shipped will be assessed a shipping and handling fee for US shipping. A higher amount WILL be assessed for foreign shipping (at a later date). Keep in mind that a few pieces will cost more to ship due to size or weight.
There is no extra shipping charge if you plan to pick up your item at Heroes and Fantasies in San Antonio, Texas.

#8 - If you put in a proxy bid the charity (Family Violence Prevention Services, Inc.) will contact you for your credit card number. You will NOT be charged unless you win. The charity will not keep your information on file. You will be given a "Bidder Number" when you provide the charity with your information. VISA, MASTER CARD, AMERICAN EXPRESS are accepted. If you pick up at the store, CASH is another alternative.

#9 - Some of your payment for the contribution may be considered tax deductible for a 501(c)3 charity; the letter provided by the charity will explain the fair market value/deduction generalities, but you will want to consult a tax professional for more specifics.

#10 - Due to popular demand, the early PROXY BIDS (prior to deadline of October 29th) WILL BE POSTED on this page, BELOW. These will be posted ANONYMOUSLY. These will be updated by midnight CST every day up until Saturday 29th midnight/Sunday 30th. It MAY be updated more frequently, but will at least be updated at midnight.

If you've read these instructions, you may email your Proxy Bid here.
