PROXY BID RULES - OREGON
The Silent Auction will take place October 21st, 2012, with lots closing between 2:30-5:30 pm PST.

Concurrently, some pieces will be auctioned live on eBay AND on-site at the Silent Auction, with pieces closing every three minutes between 3:00-5:45 pm PST on October 21st, 2012.

You need NOT be present to win, however, your bid must be on the bid sheet either through Proxy Bidding as follows, through eBay, or through an agent on-site:

Proxy Bids will be accepted ONLINE
from 8pm (PST) Saturday October 14th
to midnight (PST) on Saturday October 20th.

*NO* further Proxy Bids will be allowed on Sunday, October 21st.

*NO* Proxy Bids will be taken by phone (unless prior arrangements are made with charities for items over $1000). Do NOT call the store to bid.

*The ONLY exception to phone bids will be anyone bidding over $1000 for an item. You may make arrangements (prior to Sunday the 21st) for an on-site phone Proxy Bidder but must be available by phone when the items close.

eBay Bids will begin on Sunday October 14th ON eBay, with the link to all eBay items to be posted HERE.

Oregon eBay listings are NOW live. ALL pieces will end LIVE on Sunday the 30th between 2pm-5:15pm.

eBay Bids will be accepted ONLINE only ON eBay, excepting any bids entered live at the site, which will be entered via computers there (live)
on Sunday October 30th.

*NO* eBay Bids will be taken by phone.

When an item closes, the highest amount bid for an item (assuming it meets minimum bid) by either a person/agent on-site or through Proxy Bid will be considered the winner.
Although we have no legally-binding bidding clause, remember that this is a CHARITY event, so stiffing your bid will bring nothing but bad karma!

SUBMITTING BIDS - OREGON
To submit a Proxy Bid, follow these steps to the letter:

#1 - Emails must have a subject line of "WOWD Proxy Bid - Contributor Name"
[example: WOWD Proxy Bid - Pete Woods"]
If you are bidding on more than one item, put "WOWD Proxy Bid - Multiple Items"

#2 - Emails must include within them the Contributor Name. Please specify which piece in the case of Contributors who provided more than one piece.
If the piece is from TEXAS, please go to TEXAS page and follow TEXAS rules!

#3 - Emails must include Full Name and working Phone Number of Bidder. All bidders must be over the age of 18 years of age.

#4 - Emails must include the Bid price offered. Unless you submit a further bid, this will be considered the final bid price offered. These will NOT be "incremental" bids. If you offer $200, that is your bid.

#5 - All up-bids MUST be in at least $5 increments.

#6 - If you are bidding on more than one item, put your bid with each contributor name
and separate the items with a dashed line,
i.e. "-------------------------"

#7 - IMPORTANT - All items which need to be shipped will be assessed a shipping and handling fee for US shipping. A higher amount WILL be assessed for foreign shipping (at a later date). Keep in mind that a few pieces will cost more to ship due to size or weight.
There is no extra shipping charge if you plan to pick up your item at Excalibur Books in Portland, Oregon.

#8 - If you put in a proxy bid, the charity will contact you for your credit card number. You will NOT be charged unless you win. The charity will not keep your information on file. You will be given a "Bidder Number" when you provide the charity with your information.

The lead Portland charity [Bradley Angle] will be using AuctionPay software. They will accept VISA, MASTER CARD, or AMERICAN EXPRESS (credit cards or debit cards). No Paypal payments will be accepted.

#9 - Some of your payment for the contribution may be considered tax deductible for a 501(c)3 charity; the letter provided by the charity will explain the fair market value/deduction generalities, but you will want to consult a tax professional for more specifics.

#10 - Due to popular demand, the early PROXY BIDS (prior to deadline of October 20th) WILL BE POSTED on this page, BELOW. These will be posted ANONYMOUSLY. These will be updated by midnight PST every day up until Saturday 20th midnight/Sunday 21st. It MAY be updated more frequently, but will at least be updated at midnight.

If you've read these instructions, you may email your Proxy Bid here.
